AC Milan to enter Ronaldinho auction?

Milan have their eyes trained on Ronaldinho after the Brazilian star threatened to use FIFA Article 17 to quit Barcelona.

Milan have been regularly linked with Ronaldinho, but have seen past advances rebuffed as the former PSG man was a pivotal figure at the club.

However, the Porto Alegre native has fallen out of favour and was only on the bench for the Champions League game against Lyon and last weekend’s Espanyol derby day.

“My brother will leave if he isn’t wanted, even if he has to leave for free,” ‘Dinho’s agent and brother Roberto Assis warned.

FIFA Article 17 states that a player can unilaterally buy out his contract after three years of service if he pays a compensation sum to his club, based on his wages.

Chelsea have made no secret of their desire to bring the 27-year-old to Stamford Bridge and there could be a dramatic bidding war between the West London giants and the Rossoneri as both sides look to lure 'Dinho with a bumper contract offer.

There are also whispers that Juventus could enter the auction, but it is believed that they lack the funds to compete.
